Dr Ivan Ho obtained his electrical engineering and medical degrees from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and completed his PhD with the NUS Graduate School for Integrative Sciences and Engineering (NGS). After specialist accreditation in radiology, he now spends time both at the Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R) and the Department of Neuroradiology at the National Neuroscience Institute (NNI) exploring clinical applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning in medical imaging.

A/Prof Anil Gopinathan MD, FRCR (Lon), FAMS is a Senior Consultant Interventional Radiologist and the Lead for Neurointerventions at the National University Hospital, Singapore. He has previously worked as an honorary Consultant Radiologist at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals, UK. He was the Head of Interventional Radiology at NUH between Jun 2018 to Jul 2024. His special interest is in minimally invasive neuro-vascular therapies, and he established this service at NUH. In Singapore, he has been among the pioneers for some of the recent neuro-interventional treatments such as intra-arterial chemosurgery for retinoblastoma, dural venous sinus stenting for idiopathic intracranial hypertension, middle meningeal artery embolization for chronic SDH, intrasaccular flow disruption for cerebral aneurysms and embolization of CSV-venous fistulas for IIH. He believes in pushing the boundaries of neuro-interventional therapies and has been among the early adopters and proponents of treatments like reconstructive treatment for dural AVFs as well as direct CCFs, DMVO thrombectomy, flow diversion in acute SAH as well as distal vessel cerebral aneurysms.

He is the Secretary of the Society of Neurovascular Intervention and Surgery (Singapore). In the last 5 years, he has delivered more than 75 lectures as an invited speaker at various international and regional conferences/academic events. He has organized several workshops on neuro-interventional & vascular interventional therapies, has been an invited faculty at several international and regional meetings as well as organized a few international conferences in Singapore.

Dr. Robert Chen is trained in both Neuroradiology and Emergency Radiology, where he was a fellow and subsequent staff at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. He is board certified in the USA with a Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Neuroradiology and is currently Head of Department of Neuroradiology at Singapore General Hospital.

Prof Jeong Hae Woong is the Section Director of Neuroimaging and Neurointervention Section in Busan Paik Hospital, Director of Intervention Center in Busan Paik Hospital, and Professor of Radiology in Inje University. He was recently appointed the Director of Neurointervention in Korean Stroke Society and serves as Vice President of Korean Society of Interventional Neuroradiology. As a leader in his field, Prof. Jeong is actively engaged in research and has authored over 130 peer-reviewed publications. He is also a distinguished speaker, having delivered multiple lectures in neurointervention at both regional and international meetings.

Prof Tchoyoson Lim (MBBS, FRCR, MMed Diag Radiol), graduated from the Medical Faculty of the National University of Singapore in 1988, and was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists, UK and Master of Medicine (Diagnostic Radiology) DGMS NUS in 1995. He was a Visiting Neuroradiology Fellow at the University of California at San Francisco in 1997-8 and joined the National Neuroscience Institute in Singapore in 1999, where he is Senior Consultant diagnostic clinical neuroradiologist.

He has co-authored 100 manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals, 6 book chapters, and a recent issue of the Neuroimaging Clinics on the subject of CNS infections in 2023. His primary research interest is in clinical/translational neuroimaging research using CT and MR imaging techniques, particularly diffusion, tensor/kurtosis, perfusion, arterial spin labelling, spectroscopy; for applications in CNS infection, neoplasia, ischemia, and paediatrics. He is also involved in online continuing medical education, disease databases, medical applications of computers and PACS; more recently, learning, cognitive bias and error, theory of medical education and assessment have become more interesting. Prof Lim has held various research grants and patents, sits on journal editorial boards and reviews for research grants and medical ethics IRB.

Currently, Prof Lim is Clinical Professor at Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School, and is also Visiting Professor to Huashan Hospital Fudan Univeristy (Shanghai) and Zhejiang Chinese Medical University (Hangzhou). He is President, Asian-Oceanian Society of Neuroradiology and Head & Neck Radiology, and has held portfolios including Academic Vice Chairs of Education and Research in Duke-NUS Singhealth Radiology ACP, Secretary of the Singapore Radiological Society, President of the College of Radiologists Singapore, Chief Examiner, Diagnostic Radiology Certifying Exam, Royal College of Radiologists/Master of Medicine (Diagnostic Radiology), and External Examiner for Malaysian and Indonesian Boards of Radiology. Prof Lim is Core Faculty of two Radiology Residency programs, Member of the Residency Advisory Committee, has been Course Director, Preparatory Course Faculty, co-mentored 2 PhD students and has won several teaching awards. He enjoys organizing multi-disciplinary team conferences as Visiting Consultant to nearly all restructured hospitals in Singapore, and has been greatly blessed by his wonderful family and supportive staff and colleagues.

Dr Alexandre Boutet is a Neuroradiologist from the Joint Department of Medical Imaging, University of Toronto and a Clinician Investigator at the Krembil Research Institute, University Health Network, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He completed his medical school at McGill University and developed his passion for neuroscience at the Montreal Neurological Institute. He pursued a residency in radiology and a PhD in brain modulation at the University of Toronto. His main interest is to use neuroimaging to improve patient care.

He has published over 125 peer-reviewed papers, many in top tier journals such as Nature, Annals of Neurology, Journal of Neurosurgery, and Radiology. He already has over 5000 citations.  His most highly acclaimed work is on using MRI, fMRI, and machine learning to optimize DBS treatment of movement disorders and similar diseases. His research focuses using neuroimaging with machine learning techniques towards individualized medicine.

Dr Justin Ker is a Consultant Neurosurgeon at the National Neuroscience Institute (NNI) of Singapore. He sub-specializes in brain tumours and spinal conditions, and works at Singapore General Hospital, Tan Tock Seng Hospital and Changi General Hospital. He is the Co-director of the Neuro-oncology Program for Brain Tumours, and Co-lead of Innovation at NNI Neurosurgery.

He graduated with department and university Honours from Carnegie Mellon University in the United States, where he majored in Biological Sciences, and minored in Biomedical Engineering and English. For his post-graduate medical degree, he was awarded an International Merit Scholarship to study medicine at the University of Sydney, Australia, where he graduated with Honours.

His research interests include using neural networks for medical image analysis and innovating surgical teaching tools. In collaboration with A*STAR, his recent work includes an instant-messaging smartphone messaging application to diagnose brain trauma on CT scans in resource-poor countries, and a virtual-reality headset program to train junior neurosurgeons to insert external ventricular drains. His prior research work has been licensed to a medical imaging company and is being developed for use at Singapore General Hospital.

He is the first recipient of the Singhealth Health Manpower Development Program (HMDP) Local Fellowship in Spine and has been awarded the Outstanding Faculty Award in educating neurosurgery residents, in addition to the NNI Quality Award (Silver) for patient care. He also founded and has been the course-director of the NNI Preparatory Course for neurosurgical candidates sitting the Fellowship Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) exit examinations. His clinical practice employs minimally invasive and neuro-monitoring surgical techniques for brain tumours and spinal conditions.

Prof Anchalee Churojana is a Senior Consultant at the Siriraj Center of Interventional Radiology, Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand. She was the Head of the Radiology Department in Siriraj Hospital and Chief of the Siriraj Center of Interventional Radiology. She was also the past president for the Association of Thai Interventional Neuroradiology and Royal College of Radiology of Thailand.

Her most notable recent contribution was the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the Siriraj Hospital, Thailand and the National Neuroscience Institute (NNI), Singapore to enhance the standard of neurointervention care in both countries on 1 August 2023. The MOU formalises long-standing ties between the two institutions and focuses on deepening collaborations on education, research and the sharing of best practices in the field of neurointervention. It has been a longer-term aspiration of hers to establish a joint international fellowship programme with rotations at Siriraj Hospital and NNI, so trainees from Southeast Asia can learn from both centers and gain broad experience from the different patient profiles.

Prof Anchalee has at least 35 publications and her research interests include interventional radiology, neuroradiology, neuroscience, and neurology.

Dr Kee is a Consultant Neuroradiologist and Neurointerventionalist in National Neuroscience Institute (NNI). She is currently the Director of Joint Neurovascular Service and Co-director of Endovascular Centre. Dr Kee has postgraduate qualifications in both surgery (MRCS) and radiology (FRCR, MMED). After graduating from the SingHealth Radiology Residency Programme, she received 1 year of clinical fellowship training in Intervention Neuroradiology at Toronto Western Hospital. She specializes in both Diagnostic and Intervention Neuroradiology. She has a special interest in neurovascular intervention, including endovascular treatment of hyperacute stroke, aneurysm and vascular malformation. Dr Kee has published multiple interesting research articles in the field of Diagnostic and Intervention Neuroradiology. She is currently the Clinical Assistant Professor of Duke–NUS Medical School and faculty member of SingHealth Radiology Residency Programme. She continues to share her knowledge and experience in local, regional and international conferences and courses.

Dr. Kheok Si Wei is the current Director of Head and Neck Radiology, Deputy Head of the Department of Neuroradiology, and Director of MRI patient care services in the Division of Radiological Sciences at Singapore General Hospital. She holds academic positions in all three medical schools in Singapore. Her research interests are in head and neck, orbital imaging, and emerging diseases.

Dr Lin Xuling is a Neurologist, with a clinical interest in Neuro-Oncology and manages patients with Neurological conditions including brain tumours. She is also currently serving at the SingHealth Office of Regional Health as Director (Clinical) and is working with the SingHealth Regional Health System team in population health strategy and planning development.

Dr Lin is passionate about clinical research and has been awarded several national grants and participates actively in the design and running of clinical studies. Her research interests range from neurocognition and neuroimaging to cancer genomics and brain tumour clinical trials.

A/Prof Tang Phua Hwee is a paediatric radiologist with keen interest in neuroimaging. She is a graduate of the National University of Singapore and did her basic and advanced radiology training in various hospitals in Singapore. After obtaining her FRCR and Masters in Diagnostic Radiology, she spent 6 months in University of California San Francisco learning the finer points of paediatric imaging, including paediatric neuroimaging and foetal imaging. She has also done a mini-fellowship in neuroradiology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Centre and a visiting fellowship at Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging. Research conducted after completing the Khoo Clinical Scholar’s Program has resulted in use of educational videos to help children co-operate better during MRI scans, Ultrafast MRI brain sequences for paediatric patients and an AI model to select patients suitable for Ultrafast MRI.

A/Prof Tang is actively involved in education and has won Outstanding Faculty (Residency) RADSC ACP Education Award as well as the RadSci ACP Programme Excellence Award for “KKH Ultrasound Training Programme for Residents” for application of best practices in education philosophies and scholarly approach in creation and improvement of training curriculum leading to high quality teaching and learning.

A/Prof Adeline Ng is a Senior Consultant Neurologist and Director of Special Projects at the Office of Academic Affairs, National Neuroscience Institute. She completed a fellowship at the Memory and Aging Centre, University of California San Francisco, specializing in Young-Onset Dementias (YODs). She heads the Dementia and Cognitive Neuroscience program at NNI and serves as Deputy Head of the SingHealth Duke NUS Memory and Cognitive Disorders Centre.

A/Prof Adeline is Principal Investigator of National Medical Research Council (NMRC)-funded and other funded clinical dementia cohort studies as well as translational studies in the field of neurodegenerative diseases and neurogenetics, including being a recipient of the NMRC Clinician-Scientist Award. She is also Director of the Brain Bank Singapore, a national research entity dedicated to the preservation of post-mortem brain tissue for neuroscience research into neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders.

Dr Wickly Lee graduated with an MBBS from the National University of Singapore in 1993 and subsequently pursued neuroradiology subspecialty training in 2004. In addition to post-graduate qualifications of MMed (Diag Rad) and FRCR, he also underwent a year of Neurointerventional training in Budapest, Hungary, in 2006. Dr Lee won the SingHealth Outstanding Faculty Award in Diagnostic Radiology in 2021.

Dr Lee is professionally interested in the treating of cerebral and spinal vascular conditions (aneurysms, arterio-venous malformations, dural arteriovenous fistulas, and interventional treatment of head and neck vascular abnormalities). Additionally, his interests include clinical services, research, and acute stroke intervention. He is passionate about imparting his knowledge by teaching fellows and residents.

Dr Chia Ghim Song is currently the Director of the Neurointerventional Radiology Service and Deputy Head of the Neuroradiology Department at the Singapore General Hospital. Subspecialising in diagnostic and interventional neuroradiology, he dedicates his practice to treating a wide spectrum of neurovascular conditions affecting the brain, spine, head and neck. Dr Chia’s expertise encompasses treatment of life threatening and critical conditions such as acute ischemic stroke and brain aneurysms, utilising state-of-the-art minimally invasive techniques to improve patient outcomes.

Dr Chia obtained his medical degree from the Duke-NUS Medical School in 2011 as a recipient of the Shaw Foundation scholarship. He was awarded the Seah Cheng Siang Gold Medal in Internal Medicine and honoured as the class valedictorian. During his residency training, he served as Chief Resident as part of the esteemed Singapore Chief Resident Program.

He completed a year-long neurointerventional radiology fellowship at the Gold Coast University Hospital, renowned as one of the first centres in the world to perform robotic neuroendovascular intervention under the MOH Health Manpower Development Plan Award. Upon his return, Dr Chia spearheaded the adoption of the transradial approach as a cornerstone for neurointerventional procedures at SGH.

As Clinical Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS, Dr Chia is actively involved in teaching and mentoring medical students. He served as the chairman of the Singapore Medical Association (SMA) doctors in training committee and was a council member. He is the founding and past president of the Duke-NUS medical alumni.

Dr Khoo Hau Wei is a Consultant Radiologist at the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore. He obtained his post-graduate qualifications in Radiology (FRCR and MMed) in 2018. He has a special interest in head and neck imaging and has completed a visiting fellowship at Leiden University Medical Centre, the Netherlands. He is also a Core Clinical Faculty Member of the National Healthcare Group (NHG) Residency Programme and was awarded the NHG Teaching Award for Senior Doctors in 2024.

Prof Ann King is a Professor of Radiology and Honorary Consultant in the Department of Imaging and interventional radiology, Prince of Wales Hospital, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). She possesses the qualifications of MBChB, FRCR & FRCP (UK), FHKCR & FHKAM (HK) and received her Doctorate (MD) on MRI of nasopharyngeal carcinoma in 2008.

She is a Head & Neck radiologist with nearly 30 years of research experience in MRI of Head & Neck cancer, including nasopharyngeal cancer (NPC). She has published numerous papers on MRI of NPC and is currently working on MRI detection of early-stage NPC in EBV screening programs. She also has published research in other Head & Neck cancers, functional MRI techniques, including DWI, DCE, MRS, CEST and T1rho, the post-treatment neck and applications of AI/radiomics. She has obtained competitive grants, published book chapters, over 240 peer-reviewed papers (H-index 53, top 2% of scientists), including articles in the New England Journal of Medicine, Annals of Oncology, Radiology, European Radiology and American Journal of Neuroradiology. She has been a member of international consensus working groups and scientific committees and has delivered numerous international lectures. Relevant to the lectures at 23rd ANRC and 8th INR workshop, 2025, she is a member of the American Joint Committee (AJCC) expert panel on staging nasopharyngeal cancer (9th version) 2024; Member of imaging extranodal extension international joint task force to create educational materials and promote a uniform grading and interpretation.2024-2025; Member of the Head and Neck Cancer International working Group (HNCIG) on consensus on definition and grading of radiologic extranodal extension (ENE) in head and neck cancer 2023; Member of the expert panel charged with developing a joint Chinese Society for Therapeutic Radiology Oncology (CSTRO), CACA, CSCO, and American Society for Therapeutic Radiology Oncology (ASTRO) guideline on the delineation of radiotherapy target volume for NPC 2024-2025.

She has many years of experience teaching and training. She has a long career serving on university committees and for 20 years has developed and coordinated the medical student radiology teaching program which spans the curriculum. She has also been an active member of the Hong Kong College of Radiologists for over 15 years, during the establishment of the Hong Kong radiology training program, serving on the education committee, accreditation subcommittee and as an examiner for the Hong Kong College and Royal College of Radiologists.

Prof Krings is a leading expert in neuro- imaging and intervention, with special focus on neurovascular diseases such as aneurysms, vascular malformations, stroke and epilepsy imaging. He has published over 500 peer-reviewed articles, approximately 30 book chapters, and 4 books on topics including spinal, paediatric, and interventional neuroradiology. His current research aims to predict brain bleeding from vascular malformations, develop novel treatment methods, and evaluate treatment effectiveness to improve healthcare outcomes. Prof Krings has great passion in teaching. He has trained many diagnostic and interventional fellows over the years, being the core faculty of PLANET course, and organizer of Interventional Neuroradiology Symposium and Canadian Neuroradiology Course.

Dr Saravana Kumar Swaminathan is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School and a Consultant at the National Neuroscience Institute's Department of Neuroradiology.

After graduating from medical school in India in 2011, Dr Saravana relocated to Singapore to pursue his post-graduate training in Radiology. He obtained his MMed (Diag Rad) and FRCR (Fellow of the Royal College of Radiology) degrees in 2015, as well as the EDiR (European Diploma in Radiology), and began working as a specialist radiologist in August 2018.

Dr Saravana further subspecialised in Interventional and Diagnostic Neuroradiology, obtaining the EDiNR (European Diploma in Neuro-Radiology) and EDiINR (European Diploma in Interventional Neuro-Radiology). He was awarded the Health Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) scholarship in 2020 by the Ministry of Health and underwent a clinical fellowship in Interventional Neuroradiology at the renowned Toronto Western Hospital – University of Toronto, Canada, under the tutelage of Prof Timo Krings.

Dr Saravana’s subspecialty interest lies in minimally invasive endovascular treatment of various vascular disorders of the brain and spine, including stroke, aneurysms, arteriovenous shunts, as well as carotid artery and intracranial stenosis. Dr Saravana won several RiSE accolades, including Outstanding Resident, Quality Improvement Project, and Outstanding Performance. He also won the Young Investigator Award in 2015 at the Asian Congress of Abdominal Radiology.

Dr Shaun Previn is a Consultant in the Department of Neuroradiology at the National Neuroscience Institute in Singapore, a leading medical facility for neuroscience-related clinical services and research. His professional background includes specialization in radiology with a specific focus on neuroradiology. His role involves working with advanced imaging technologies to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological conditions.

Prof Shinichi Yoshimura is currently the Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at Hyogo Medical University, Japan. He graduated from Gifu University School of Medicine and is a practicing neurosurgeon. His main clinical and research interests focus on cerebrovascular diseases, including both endovascular and surgical treatments.

Among his many accomplishments, he received the Galenus Award from the Japan Neurosurgical Society in 2002, the Makino Award from the Japan Neurotraumatology Society in 2004, the Mihara Award from the Public Trust Mihara Cerebrovascular Disorder Research Promotion Fund in 2018, and a Golden Award from the Japanese Society of Neuroendovascular Therapy in 2023. He currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Japanese Journal of Neurosurgery.

Dr Carol Tham is a Senior Consultant Neurologist at the National Neuroscience Institute, Singapore. She underwent advanced specialist training in Neurology at the National Neuroscience Institute, Singapore, followed by a clinical fellowship in Stroke with the renowned Calgary Stroke Program in Canada.

Her clinical and research interests are in acute ischaemic stroke, young adults with stroke, reperfusion strategies, advanced neuroimaging and neurosonology.

Dr Joanna Pearly Ti is currently the Director for Patient Safety & Clinical Quality and a Senior Consultant Neuroradiologist, Department of Neuroradiology, at the National Neuroscience Institute. She graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland/Penang Medical College in 2003 and completed radiology training in Dublin, Ireland in 2010. These were followed by fellowship appointments in both Interventional Neuroradiology at University of Illinois, Chicago and Diagnostic Neuroradiology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago. Dr Ti has an interest in vascular disorders of the brain, including aneurysms and acute stroke.

Dr Wan Kai Rui is a Neurosurgical Consultant based at the National Neuroscience Institute. Her subspeciality interests are in Functional Neurosurgery, particularly in the realm of invasive and non-invasive forms of neuromodulation, as well as in Neuro-Oncology. She also has a keen interest in harnessing AI applications to deepen understanding and manipulate neural networks to augment and revolutionize the delivery of neurological healthcare and research.

Dr David Wen is a Consultant with Singapore General Hospital's Department of Neuroradiology, subspecializing in diagnostic and interventional neuroradiology (neurointervention). His interest is in the minimally invasive treatment of vascular disorders in the brain and spine.

Dr Wen obtained his medical degree from the University of Adelaide, Australia, graduating in 2009. He completed specialist training with the SingHealth Diagnostic Radiology Residency Programme in 2019.

In 2023, Dr Wen was awarded a sponsorship from SGH to undertake a 1-year fellowship in Interventional Neuroradiology at the renowned Walton Centre, UK. He also spent time at Alder Hey Hospital, one of the largest pediatric hospitals in the UK, gaining experience in the management of pediatric neurovascular diseases.

Dr Wen has also completed the European Diploma in Neurointervention (EDNI), a formal diploma for Interventional Neuroradiology.

Dr Steve Wong is a Consultant Interventional Neuroradiologist in the Department of Neuroradiology, Singapore General Hospital. He attained specialist accreditation in 2021, completing his radiology residency as the programme’s Chief Resident.

Following 2 years of subspecialty fellowship training in Singapore, Dr Wong furthered his subspecialty training in France under the proctorship of Prof Laurent Pierot in 2024 and attained his European Diploma in Neurointervention (ENDI) by the European Board of Neurointervention (EBNI) in the same year.

As a part of the SGH Neurointervention team, he performs endovascular treatments of various neurovascular conditions, including acute ischemic strokes, intracranial aneurysms, intra & extracranial stenoses, arteriovenous shunts of the brain, head & neck, and spine. Additionally, he is experienced in the percutaneous treatment of head and neck low-flow vascular malformations, including sclerotherapy for venous and lymphatic malformations.

Dr Clement Yong is a Senior Consultant Diagnostic Radiologist at the National University Hospital. After graduating with Honours from the University of Western Australia, Dr Yong later obtained his fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR). Since his move to Singapore, he has been working at the National University Hospital, where he now heads the Neuroimaging division.

He sub-specializes in advanced head & neck, and neuroimaging, and is a clinical expert with advanced specialty training from the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston USA, under the Singapore Health Manpower Development Plan Award. Dr Yong has published multiple papers and book chapters on head & neck Imaging and has given lectures on the subject internationally

Dr Yong is also an Assistant Professor of Radiology with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, and has won teaching and project awards for his commitment to the field. His research interests currently lie in the development of Artificial Intelligence and its application in brain tumours.

Dr Yu Wai-Yung is a Neuroradiologist and trained at St George's Hospital and National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in the UK. She is the Head and Senior Consultant in the Department of Neuroradiology @TTSH at the National Neuroscience Institute and Academic Vice Chair, Education, in the Radiological Sciences Academic Clinical Programme.
